Ruth's cousin Caleb vists California : In the first part of June 2009, Ruth's cousin Caleb travelled from Dallas, TX to California to visit relatives in various areas. He flew into Sacramento and Ruth, Enoc, and his wife Monique took him to Napa for wine tasting. On another day, we all went to San Francisco for the day. Later he went down to Kingsburg and Dinuba to visit more relatives. Ruth also went down and they all went to the Paso Robles wine region and down to Pismo Beach.

Carquinez Bridge construction : A new bridge was built to connect I-80 between Crockett and Vallejo over a period of several years. The old bridge is actually two separate bridges, one for westbound traffic and the other for eastbound. The older of the two, built in the 1920's, could not be retrofitted for earthquake safety so they built a new suspension bridge to replace it. These pictures were taken in June 2002 and February 2003.
